Kia ora every one, today two monarch butterflies came out of their cocoons. Is's starting to get chilly so they must be cold. My dad put them in the sun today so they could dry their wings out. They are beautiful butterflies and I hope they are healthy and happy😊

Kia ora Luna,
ReplyDeleteHow lucky are you to have monarch butterflies still appearing in your garden. I would have thought they would be all done by now. Your Dad sounds like a kind man to move them into the sun. I wonder what kind of adventure they will have as they begin to explore the world with their wings. Maybe you could write a story from their perspective.
Thanks for sharing,

ReplyDeleteKon'nichiwa Luna,
Thank you for sharing photos of your monarch butterflies Luna. We still have two chrysalis on our plants. I think we need to follow your dad'd advice and move them into the sun now that the weather is colder. We still have two caterpillars munching away on the leaves. Do you think they will still make to the next stage of their life cycle?
Maybe you could create a screen castify about what you have noticed during each part of the monarch butterflies life cycle.
気を付けて, Ki o tsukete, take care,
